Not really, I think the chefs who come on the programme expect to receive and give some banter, they seemed to have a disagreement about how to handle mussels. Nairn seemed to be more cavalier than most chefs I've ever spokn to about mussels.
He's not that pleasant off the TV either so I wouldn't expect anything else from him. Just my opinion of course!
I thought that Nick Nairn's behaviour was appalling while the swedish chef was cooking, he constantly pulled faces and talked to the other guest.
James Martin is not pleasant??? mwahhhhhhh
Agree with april1693
I can't stand Nick (I'll do a soup) Nairn. Arrogant git. I didn't see the show, but if the lovely James Martin was rude to him, more power to his elbow.
I agree. Nick Nairn isn't nice either. Not the best of shows, but lovely Ashley Banjo made up for the horrible chefs!
I love James Martin :-(
James Martin can stir my stew any time.
I felt sorry for the lad from JLS .He wanted chicken but ended up having to try the pork. He obviously didn't want to eat it and definitely looked very uncomfortable when asked to try it. Anyone else notice ?
Yes, but that's the whole point of food heaven or food hell.

That pork looked so delicious,my mouth was watering.
I could never go on Saturday kitchen. I don't HAVE a food hell lol
My hell would be tuna in any form.

I missed the mussels bit. Was Nairn advising to not chuck unopened cooked mussels away?

I'm with James Martin on this one.

i agree about throwing mussels away if they're open, but nick nairn (can't stand him btw) was trying to say something quite interesting as to why they are open in the first place. He didn't get chance though, as James martin just talked over him.
Loved it when swedish chef said his omelette looked like Sugar!!
