For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I've had the same wish for years, and last year asked the same question to the BBC (after they'd shown one episode on BBC3) but the reply was that it had never been released on VHS and there were no plans for a DVD. No reason given but I suspect that it would be a huge headache in copyright & royalties.

I think delboy3 is right, the costs may prove to prohibative. Also if one record company or another refuses DVD rights to their music, a re-edit of the programme would have to be untertaken, and that too pushes up the costs. The BBC probably figure the amount of sales wouldn't justify those costs.
I agree, the series was very good. Just hope that next time it is repeated, you have a DVD recorder by then.
