I think he would have been brilliant, especially in the 90's when he was in Schindler's List.

i thought he was amazing in Schindlers list, but i don't like him at all and couldn't have seen him as James Bond, not then not ever. The English Patient was so bad i fell asleep half way though.
noo, hes not a james bond
never, Daniel Craig is bad enough.
Yes em, The English Patient was a much overrated film imo.
He's much better in The Constant Gardener

Schindlers list was a great film, powerful and very disturbing, he played a monster Amon Goethe, but quite honestly i find him rather wooden,
I'd have preferred the lovely Liam Neeson.............
sean bean, love him to bits as Sharpe, but not as JB.
sean peartwee i can see but sean bean, never he's too rough
He'd have been better than pierce brosnan.
makes a good baddie though... ^
that was for Mcfluff
def a good baddie
i still prefer Sean Connery, i really don't think anyone has been better in the role, at least going on the books i read years ago..
seeing as how the character is based quite a lot on Fleming himself, not sure who would have been good in the role, no one i can think of now.
No - i think he would better fit into the role of one of these baddies , as in the later Bond films .
*cough* would HAVE not of

Anyhoo....

No, though Clive Owen would've been a cracker at it IMO.
Ben Chaplin would be a great bond.
back then probably, but he seems to be a bit creased around the edges these days.
