Did anyone else see this on Channel 4 about Princess Alice of Greece?
What a remarkable woman.

What an amazing story! My OH knows a lot about history and says he has never heard anything of the life of this amazing if eccentric woman. I found it quite sad but very touching, especially at the end. If you want to watch it, it's on C4 + 1 now ...........

I wonder if the Royal family were ashamed of her, so kept everything about her hush-hush? How sad .............

I didn't even know about her being buried on the Mount of Olives 20 years after she died and Prince Philip going to the burial in 1988 and paying tribute to what she did for the Jewish family during the war.

Don't know if the Royals found her an embarassment or if she was just quite private....but also quite odd...

A most interesting programme, and it makes sense of the connections between Prince Philip and Greece. Well worth watching.

It's repeated tonight on channel 4Seven at 11 pm and also tomorrow on the same channel at 12.10 am.

A fascinating story, it reminded me of the documentary about the queen's cousins who ended up in mental institutions. Very sad.

Pusskin ... Tizzi tells us when the repeats are in the thread above ..... but it should be on 4OD on line too as was on Channel 4 yesterday ........... the repeat, I think, is on 4Seven ..... I shall be recording it.
