Amazon Prime Videos

Hi does anyone use Amazon Prime to watch films or tv series, was wondering how up to date the films are? Had Netflix but wasn't very impressed with the films. Was also looking at the Skynow. Like to watch films and pc is hoooked up to the tv. There are so many about, don't really know which is best, did think of trying out the free trials, but not sure how easy they are to cancel if it's not what I want.

None of the 'pay monthly' services will offer many recent blockbusters. The distributors get several pounds every time their movies are shown to someone in a cinema, or when someone buys their DVDs. They'll only get a few pence from each showing if people are paying for a streaming service on a monthly basis, so they won't release their films to such streaming services until their revenue from cinemas and DVD sales has dried up. (There might be just a few exceptions, when the streaming services buy the rights to a major movie as a 'loss leader' for their advertising promotions).
If you want to see recent movies online, you need to use a 'pay per view' service, such as Blinkbox:

(It's worth remembering that some of Blinkbox's movies will be available completely free soon to Tesco Clubcard users, when Tesco launches its new video streaming service. However you shouldn't expect to see many recent movies among their offerings!).
