To all the wonderful achievers of musical instruments which we talked about earlier - can any recommend a very basic way of learning the notes and chords - the guy is good enough (ie teacher) but I find some of the teachers try to teach you too quick with the result they want quick answers and it is difficult to answer in a mixture of mature and young people. I really want to further myself on . I do have some music literature books (old ones) may look them and really study them - these people that I am in the class have been playing one tune for 3 years - and they are getting bored ( personally whilst I was a teacher) not of music certainly but I did try to make the day a bit interesting (ie there is no interaction from the teacher - she takes about 15 mins talking quite rapidly to each individual (these are mature adults) and you can see they are a litlle embarrassed not knowing what a semi breve or quaver when we have just been to the class for 3 weeks (as if you know) - never would I have taught anybody like that not that is not for me I would like to hurry myself and speed - anybody tell me a quick little basic book to buy cos next week hope to be in town
thanks
