It's been on two or three times a week lately, why? Not everyone is interested.

I couldn't agree more dave50.
me neither, that also goes for cookery shows, gardening programmes, and now a knitting bee, heavens sake.
I could ask the same about cooking programmes. Boring as broccoli.

But then TV listings are not created solely for me.
I hate all sport.
It's the final stages of the Champions league and we also had important international matches. I bet the viewing figures are higher than they are for most of the programmes they displace in midweek, but at least we have plenty of channels to choose from so can turn over if we don't like it. We'll get two weeks of Wimbledon soon, which I will hardly watch but it give sme time to do other things
ITV wouldn't have forked out for rights to show live matches if there wasn't an audience for it
Yes, but it takes over the Whole night and then is on again after the News!!!!!!
You're for the high jump cupid pal :-)
I'm far more interested in the IPL tbh......
and why do they have to yak about the match once it's finished?
I would not spend two hours sitting in front of the TV watching 22 overpaid blokes kick a bag of wind about.
I feel the same way about soaps and cookery shows, day in day out, at least the football isnt on terrestrial TV 7 days a week
I know cupid, I know!!!
transcript from text

fatty: ok if i watch the football tonight mardyarse
me: **** off ****************

H has his own TV in the spare room, so to me there's NO football on at all.

Get a spare TV & put it in bedroom or a spare room then you can say "Bye Bye Football"

jem.
a/ no spare room
b/ if i had a spare room, i'm not paying for the extra box
>>>Yes, but it takes over the Whole night and then is on again after the News!!!!!!

But only on the main ITV channel.

Now we have freeview cant you get ITV2, or ITV3 or ITV4 ?

Or one of the other channels on Freeview, there are plenty to chose from.

Have a look at the BBC4 channel, there is some interesting programs on there.

Also if you have a computer why not watch one of the hundreds of programs on one of the "catch up" web sites like BBC iPlayer, ITV player or 4ondemand and so on.

There is no need to be a "slave" to what is on the TV nowadays.

BBC iPlayer

ITV player

4ondemand

frugal shouldn't that be 22 bags of wind kicking a bloke about... just a thought.
I think the real problem is that its on itv and causes disruption for the soaps
