Can anyone tell me if Danny actually started the fire at Johnny Allans house.  When i was watching it last night it seemed as if he didnt actually start it.  Now it is possible that i blinked and missed a bit!  Can anyone tell me what happened?

No it was not clear how the fire started. You did not miss anything. I was glued to the box so i can safely say they have left this one open. They have enough trouble trying to work out how to resolve the Den killing without looking like they have turned eastenders into 'the Bill' that the writers thought best leave it open. But what a silly episode. suddenly the Moon brothers (just for this episode) started talking about their childhhod days and ostensibly the mistreatment they received from their father. The dialogues were sheer nonsense. Danny got the worst lines. He was talking about his father in the middle of the Salsa dance. He asked for a drink and when refused started talking about his father. What rubbish. If you are an eastenders writer read this...you were ***** last night.

I totally agree utter nonsense, I thought the same last week with the Kat Zoe situation, all of a sudden Kat takes the moral high ground and wants to tell the police, but when Little Moe wacked Trevor over the Head with an iron she was the first to say lets go round there and dump the body, Moe will never survive in prison, did she suddenly forget this during her fight with Zoe?

Im so glad it wasnt just me!!  I was beginning to wonder if i had missed an episode somewhere cause the moon's all seemed to be going off in a tangent about something that had absolutley no relevance to the episode!!

Eastenders scriptwriters trying to quickly write an exit for Danny and Jake!!

To be honest I find that Danny actor to be so annoying...I just don't think he is a very good actor.  I turned over 10 mins before the end.  The line "little pig, little pig" made me laugh.  Eastenders has really gone down the pan lately.  Utter rubbish I think, to be honest I haven't watched it much for a few weeks.  I just find it soooooooo boring.

Do you know you're all right .It is utter pants lately. So why do I still watch? Habit? possibly , the hope it will improve? Hardly, it's been bad for a looooong time now, apathy? Yes that's the one.

Very good point trionam about Zoe/Mo/Trevor btw.

thanks galltin, Im the same as you dont know why I still watch it but I do, maybe the need some good new characters instead of bringing characters that were supposed to be dead, they're not very successful on that front.eg the feirras and sasha, the moon brothers none of them lasting very long.I heard they were keeping Jake Moon anyone know is that true?
Don't look for any logic or consistency in Eastenders. I watch it because I have for a long time, but I enjoy it more as an (unintentional) comedy these days. Every episode me and my wife play 'spot the stupidity'.
This gets incredible. I just read on another website that the BBC took the decision last night to delete the scene showing Danny opening the window and setting fire to the front room. This was done apparently to show sensitivity to the events in London. The scenes are there to see in the BBC webiste previewing last nights episode. What a load of rubbish this is turning out to be. They allow scenes mentioning Ruby travelling by train to London but take away something that has very littel bearing on the events in London. So what happens to all the episodes already filmed where Danny is obviously to blame and gets killed by Johnny but the viewer is left to believe that he was innocent and did not start the fire.
Thats exactly the way I took it up Dom Tuk.  That he didn't set the fire it was a faulty wire or something and that he was going to be blamed for it.  Not that I could give a damn.

But this is what it says on the BBC website:

Danny shouts up at Johnny's window, thinking that he's inside. Frustrated, he sets light to Johnny's front room. As the fire takes hold, he babbles maniacally, then runs away.

The last episode was really weird. it  wasn't at all realistic! As far as I can tell no one started the fire it just appeared at the window when Danny was going crazy on the doorstep.

When are they going to find out who killed Den?

It's so annoying watching everyone making complete prats of themselves and walking around wondering why no one has seen Den for ages. As if someone wouldn't alert the police. It just getting so unrealistic.

Apparently Jake will be returning later in the year because he's been quite a hit with the ladies (me included). EE is totally dire lately though. Contrived plots, rubbish dialogue and Sharon's hair need sorting out NOW!
