Purple_Popple, I had a very similar symptom, and (was told by my optician), that if you have any problems with your eyes, you should see an optician, as they are eye specialists. Not a GP. I had taken drops from the GP allegedly for conjunctivitis/general eye infection, which did nothing for me at all, and was actually diagnosed by my optician as having blepharitis.

Thank you Winner for that advice. It didn't cross my mind to see an optician...so will pop along to see what they come up with. :)
