Who Cannot Act?!

Would anyone care to add to this(personal) list of Actors,who in my humble opinion cannot act,but are getting loads of money for not doing it!?

Orlando Bloom now there's someone who's overated to the hilt although people are begining to realise his lack of ability.

Agree with all those mystress with the exception of Hugh Grant, i think he is typecast but can act. Couldn't agree more with flano about Orlando Bloom, he's lovely to look at but his acthing is awful. This will make me unpopular with the fellas but i'd also like to nominate Keira Knightly, I think she's terrible. Oh, and the cast of Hollyoaks!

hugh Grant palys the same way in everything I've seen him in. The bumbling englishman. But thats ok I have a soft spot for them so he can get away with it.

Hollyoaks, I agree can't act for toffee but it is a teen soap. The girls who played Bianca and Tiff in Eastenders were appauling. They just played themselves. When u act your supposed to convince people you are some one else. Always thought Tom Cruise couldn't act. Always seems to have the same expression on his mug. The best he did was Rainman

well, these are all popular actors, which means they risk getting typecast. When that happens they're basically offered the same role all the time; and it's hardly surprising if they play it the same each time, because that's what the producers and the public want. Also, they're chiefly not actors but stars - which means their own persona (real or imagined) plays a part in the characters they portray. Again, this is deliberate.

For all that, see Robin and Marian or The Wind and the Lion to see Connery really acting. Can't think of any occasion on which Roger Moore has done so, though.

I agree about Orlando Bloom but he is really gorgeous so you can let him get away with it.

Hugh Grant is at his best in 'Pride and Predujice' but in most other films I have seen him in he has been a pretty wooden actor.

Kevin Costner..Steven Seagal..Liz Hurley..Adam Sandler..Dolph Lundgren..Vinny Jones..Jason Statham (was good in Snatch and Lockstock,but that's about all)..The entire 'Eastenders' cast...Ardal O'Hanlon..Phil Collins in 'Buster' ..the film and his performance were painful to say the least..Arnie...and that irritating little boy in 'Perfect Storm' who says "Can we talk about something else now..?"..and many more too painful to remember....Oh yeah..almost forgot....Madonna!!

I think Hugh Grant can so can Sean Connery, Kevin Costner, Adam Sandler, Mel Gibson and Tom Cruise are all great actors. I think the cast of Hollyoaks are terrible. I think so people in Eastenders can act.. for example - Charlie Slater - when he cries it melts my heart, and what about Nigel Harman (Dennis Rickman) oooh lala. That boy can act. I personally think some of the worst are Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Vinnie Jones, Um... I know there are more.. let me think!

Ewan McGregor, apart from in Trainspotting and especially in Star Wars. He is certainly banking some big cheques though. And Sean Bean, just awful. Both pretty cute though!

J-Lo, Vinnie Jones, Mariah Carey, the bloke who plays Danny in Eastenders, that bloke from the film George and the jungle - can't remember his name,the sisters from All Saints...i'll have to think of some more.

Have to agree with eupraxia on the Tom Cruise front. Always seems to act awfully when I see him, always looks like he's acting, whereas you look at say, Mr Depp, and you're looking at the character whether it be Jack Sparrow, etc, etc. Plus Tom drove me nuts in the Last Samurai, where it looked like he was practically begging for an Oscar.
