Yes indeed, although I missed this morning's episode :-(

I stumbled across it when I had a few days off from work and got completely hooked. Now I set the video every morning before I go in (like I say, apart from this morning - grrr).

I love it too!! watch it every morning without fail but if i miss it i just go on a website which tells me what happend in that episode, I am surprised it's on in the mornings though thought it would be on a prime spot in the evening, its really good!!! Ive always liked them sort of programmes. well I hope you can on enjoying it, and Sully bless him!! Hope he gets better soon!

Channel 4 are currently repeating (a heavily cut) series 2 at 10:15 weekday mornings but it was shown previously in a late-night slot.

The show was cancelled after season 6 and any DVD release is still looking decidedly iffy (although Season 1 was released in Japan).

Season 5 starts on Monday.

I remember these episodes esp the Sully gets off Alcohol episode - I think they have had a previous daytime run as wellas an evening run .

 What is annoying is that Channel 4 appear to have used a pair of shears to edit the violence/languag. Particular evident when Sully faces up to the Russian in the cafe ( Shevchenko? ) and a Gang arrives with machine Guns. All of a sudden Davis is on the floor and a Cop who was riding with Bosco is shot. I thought at first it was a directorial trick but I think its just rubbish editing.

I like Sully - he made a remarkable recovery after "Ronin" Hes like the Brian Dennehy type of cop who reperesents the old school . I'm not sure if he is in the final series - havent seen much of the site.

Davis is ok but i think he was cast for his looks as was the fireman ( his name escapes me ) who appeared in a n advert for ( a-hem ) "marital assistance"

I think Bosco is an interesting character altho they sometimes soften his rough edges. At the moment he is being lead astray by sultry Officer Cruz - who is no better than she ought to be! Hopefully he will get back to being friends with Faith .

Its become part of the routine to watch it now so I hope they dont do what they normally do and yank it for no reason.

Good point - Skipp Sudduth (why do American actors have such silly names?) who plays Sully IS very reminiscent of Brian Dennehy. I hadn't noticed it before, but now you mention it...

One thing I still can't work out. Is Alex a firefighter or a paramedic? I'm sure I've seen her doing both jobs. If she's a paramedic, having her and Kim coming to my rescue would certainly help the pain go away :-)

It must be a good show if it's been cancelled in the US - that's always a good benchmark. Cancel the good stuff to make room for more American Idol-type crap (not that we're much better). :-(

Alex is from a family of firefighters but for some reason did/could not join the FDNY. Instead she became an EMT but later applied and became a firefighter, enabling her to utilise both roles throughout the series.

It appears that Alex's final appearance will not be shown by Ch4 (should have been this coming Friday) as it certainly isn't family viewing.

littleoldme - I deliberately steered clear of overt references to the episode in question but since Ch4 aren't going to air it avid viewers will not be able to make any sense of the episodes from Monday onwards, so maybe "spoilers" will be required after tomorrow's ep.

the last episodes i saw were in the beginning of the year and it finished with a HUGH cliffhanger!!!!!!!!!!! does anyone no how it ends up and if we will ever get to see it

SPOILER ALERT -

I must admit that Doc's reaction to his new role is very realistic . His decision to avoid the " situation" earlier ( sorry trying to avoid spoilers ) and Carlos taking over were well played.

Overall its pretty gritty at the moment . I thought todays episode was a little formulaic altho the escapee obviously was some kind of stuntman or acrobat!

Is there a messageboard for UK Third Watch watchers -? (a hardy breed who have to put up with "daytime" edits and the threat of the show disappearing at any time)

I am also a Third Watch fan. I lived in New Zealand for 6 years and watched all the first 5 series. They were on primetime right next to CSI and ER. When I returned to the UK last year none of my friends had even heard of this show and we were disappointed that it isn't around. I really want to see series 6 now!

Do you still want to know how series 4 and 5 ended?

i love love love this show! i bought all 6 series off ebay - so worth it! this show is so excellent, shame channel 4 didn't realise its potential. it can be soapy at times, and far too many characters die or have awful things happen to them, but the acting, storylines etc make for it big time
