Why do actors/ actress be interviews as if they have the know how on life .The do a job get wll paid for it so where do this insight and in life mysteries come from .I rather pick the brains of a plumber or a brick layer

Everybody is entitled to their opinion.And everybody is entitled to disagree with them.In this case your ire should be directed at the media who are looking for a story.My view is that it is interesting to see what concerns other people.And if they are using this platform to try and help worthwhile causes,why not.

By definition, actors at a level where they are being interviewed in the media have reached a certain level in their profession.

Some of the basic requirements to arrive at this level include, but are not limited to - intelligence, empathy, communication skills, an enquiring mind, an ability to think about things outside the self - and so on.

This makes them more interesting as conversationalists than say - a fourth-fomer, or a child, or someone who does not have any views or opinions on naything outside their immediate orbit.

So I don't think they suggest that they have any 'insight' about life's mysteries, simply that they think about them - as do the majority of AB'ers.

I quite agree weecalf. It soon becomes apparent that they are lost without a scriptwriter..............
