Just watched this, amazed how upbeat the man was. Not bitter at all. He was so thrilled after the op. to be able to wear proper clothes. I thought he was so brave to have it shown so openly on tv.

I didn't get to see the end. What did the op entail?

Is this the man who was in the papers at the weekend complaining that the operation had left him with a tiny penis (1 inch)?

I didn't watch it but saw several trailers. I couldn't believe he walked round like that. I saw in the news the other day that he was angry as the op had left him with a one inch penis but that may have just been gutter press garbage.

I didn't see that daffy, but the operation was incredible, it lasted nine plus hours, they didn't know if they could save his bits, but they did. The mass they removed weighed ten stones, it was horrendous.

Well in the programme he said that they would have to completely castrate him and he'd a urine bag (can't remember the name)

Even my other half said he rather lose the lot than live like he did.

That's what my OH said ummm, but they managed to save everything. Even if it was only one inch, and it certainly did not look like that, that was so much better than what he had.

The man I saw in the press had to wear a hoody as trousers to keep the lump hidden as proper trousers wouldn't cover it.

He couldn't wear trousseau, he used an upside down hoody with his legs through the arms and the body of the hoody piped up around "it"

When they did the surgery,all his bits were fine,except there was no skin on his penis. They took skin from elsewhere to sort that.

Yes, daffy. He had to wear it upside down and zip his testicles up.

Poor sod. I wonder if the reason he had to suffer for so long was lack of funds for surgery? Here in the UK he would have got it sorted within months (if not sooner).

All the way through it I was hoping for a good outcome. Must've been an absolute nightmare for him.

Because he tried to raise funds for surgery he had all his benefits stopped, he was in danger of losing his home and being out on the streets.

Some of us may complain about the state of the NHS but at least we don't get denied this sort of operation due to no funds.
