A Field In England comes from the director of Sightseers (which is probably my favourite dark comedy of last year)

In terms of what makes this special... it's described as a "black and white psychedelic English civil war film"

But don't let that put you off!

It's also being distributed across all media simultaneously - so you can go to the cinema to watch it, stream it online, or watch it on Film4.

Sadly I can't embed the trailer here, so you'll have to wander over here to have a look:

It's on at 10:45 this evening on Film4, I'll be watching.

Me too! And the ending was perfect.

I also think her accent is perfect - it's in some kind of no-man's land between Leicester and Birmingham I think?
Is it set in the 17th century then Ed ?.

LOL, Tamworth then.

I don't know Tony - but it had the dry comic tones of both.

Looks like it to me!
Will record it I think, Ed.
Thanks Ed, never heard of either of them but they sound just like my kind of thing. 10.45 is a bit late as I need my beauty sleep so I'll have to record it as well.

Hmmm doesn't sound historicaly accurate

During the English Civil War in the 17th century, the alchemist Whitehead flees from his strict master and meets Cutler and two travelers, Jacob and Friend. Cutler is holding the two travelers hostage and captures Whitehead as well. He threatens the captives and uses hallucinogens on them to induce them to help him and an Irishman, O'Neill, find treasure buried in a field
