Is anyone going to watch this tonight at 9.00pm? It's the first time a real trial, filmed over six weeks, has been allowed to be shown. Scottish Law allows this.

I am not comfortable with being entertained by real life murder when close family is alive and grieving.

Yes, I've just seen it on sky planner so will be watching it. Should be extremely interesting!!

It's not entertainment per se, hc. I look upon it as learning about the legal process. It's a re-trial of a case going back to 1998.

I learned about the legal process by doing a law degree and working in the High Court.

This case was/is massive in the local area, it was a huge story at the time and because of the appeals, still is.

I think locally a lot of people will watch it. I don't know if it's morbid curiosity or genuine interest.

I think I'll give it a miss. hc4361 is right, family and friends are still grieving, and as a body has never been found I somehow think it will be even harder on them - it that's possible.

I probably won`t as I have seen a lot of court cases on TV in the States - the latest being the high profile Jodi Arias case where the media pored over every salacious detail (as I did). I wouldn`t like court cases to be shown here but I`m sure it will be interesting viewing.

I agree anne. Watching it now and the relatives are being interviewed, so they must have given their full consent.

I thought it was very interesting, although so well produced and edited that it felt like a TV programme rather than a real trial. Why Nat Fraser refused to give evidence is a mystery to me.

I don't know if he gave evidence in his first trial in 2003 but it seems to speak volumes, when an accused is not willing to be cross-examined.

It was a very interesting programme and I think the jury came to the right decision.
