Jeremy Vine who loves the sound of his own voice and never stops talking, hosts a programme which is becoming more and more puerile. It solves nothing and just occasionally when there is something interesting being discussed, they have to stop for music. Steve wright isn't any better, what with his "singing",impersonations and asking the listeners to wave to him. I would suggest he should be on around five o'clock for the children but that would be insulting their intelligence. My radio goes off at 12 noon.
Isn't it called 'the big show' because it is on for more hours each week than any other Radio 2 programme?
I very much enjoy the Jeremy Vine show and in my opinion he does let his guests and callers speak. Very difficult format to handle and he does it very well.
Steve Wright in the afternoon I can take or leave - I don't put the radio on specifically to listen to the show but don't turn it off just because it comes on. His Sunday Love Songs is okay for a Sunday morning but again I wouldn't put it on specifically. On the whole I think he is top class radio presenter - it can't be easy filling in 15 hours Monday to Friday.

I listened for about half-an-hour today, and he played three songs consecutively that I didn't know and only back-announced one.
If he is going to play new music, why not spend less time trying to immitate the vocalist for the last fifteen seconds, and spend the time telling listeners what the perishing song is called!!!!!
