Dreary Becoming Blanche??

Yes I thought that quote was classic too. Lets face it daughters do get like their mothers as they get older in real life and for the writers to get Deadry to look & sound like her mother is pure genious & good thinking.

Yes she is getting more interesting, hitting the bottle for any excuse, I'm pleased, she is now likeable. Telling Hayley all the things she shouldn't be saying!

I loved her 'lesson' on cold calling!! Yes, without Ken she is becoming quite a character. Ken was oh so boring.

She is definitely developing into a loopy character, when she found Roy in the Red Rec first thing at her house she got the wine out, and all he wanted and waited for was a glass of water!

Back to Deirdre, she's had some corking story lines in the past - how she can bear to look Dev in the eye I'll never know :)

I'm pleased to see she's playing a bigger part again. Now that her old mucker Liz is coming back we may see some funny cougar plots.l

Me neither Craft. Her and Bet Lynch were the worst characters in Corrie in my opinion. Why on earth are they getting Liz back!!

hc - I don't know how anybody in Corrie can look any others in the street in the eye. They have all been at it over the years and it never gets further than the street!!

Lottie, they are having to fill in the story lines with two major characters out of action for the foreseeable future. And of course Hayley is leaving very soon, too.

Todd is coming back, as well as Liz. It is probably easier for 'old hands' to come back than to introduce new characters.
