It was simply awful. Was this supposed to be just for children or has BBC just given up on Saturday night entertainment. Bring back Seaside Special for the summer

Luckily for me I got a touch of heatstroke yesterday and had to go to bed early, I guessed it would be a load of pony, just glad I don't pay a UK licence fee. As you say seaside special, whatever direction the TV programmers are travelling in they have certainly lost the idea of entertainment.

I couldn't even look, guessed it would be awful. I'm just thankful that the weather's good enough to sit in the garden until dusk and then we find a film to watch. Shocking Saturday night viewing otherwise.

Came across it while Channel hopping,
thought it was CBBC
it was painful to watch

As soon as I heard the names 'Jonathon' and 'Ross' I knew this was going to be missable
went out for dinner last night, telly off all evening, glad I didn't miss anything good.
i saw the preview and decided not to watch it . it seems i made the right decision! Saturday night tv is drivel at the moment . i have an extensive dvd collection which i have been watching for the past few saturdays!
it just confused me, I had no idea what i was watching, i though maybe the bbc had had an emergency and had to close and they were doing the best they could!
It must really piss loads of tv folk and celebs off that for saturday night they can only afford unknown voice overs and a bunch of hensens's muppets.
How much are they getting paid? no amount of money would entice me to such a dreadful show.

Surely heads ought to role at the BBC for putting drivel out like this puppet show on a Saturday night. Take it off straight away.
No more Doctor Who, sadly. In the mean time, they've got to fill the time in between with mindless drivel.
Totally agree. All weekend TV on both main channels is dire. Thank heavens for Sky.
I gave it five minutes, what a load of drivel, should have known anything with JR is unwatchable.
My usual two Questions in these situations -

What drugs are the BBC Commissioning Editors taking?

and

Where can I get some!
Seriously - this wasn't ... anything.

It wasn't childish enough to appeal to kids, it wasn't knowing enough to appeal to adults, it had not one vestige of genuine amusement about it.

Who on earth thought that the public will sit still for this for a month and a half?

BTW BBC, that distant rumbling you can can hear is your Liscence Payers, on their way en masse to burn down your offices!
