So he has been arrested and charged with ....errr... a theatrical offence? Has he broken the law? Frankie Boyle has made a career out of very very similar material as far as i know, not that i watch Frankie Boyle, back when i was 17 it was the sex pistols upsetting the BBC.

Hollywood actors get paid millions to act li they are killing people, Chris Fountain was , in his mind, acting out a role, i cannot see any difference between what he has done and someone pretending to be the texas chain saw massacre badguy

I don't believe what the papers say, they are trying to link this story to the previous far more serious charges made against other actors from the soap, that's how newspapers work, they try to draw you in and beleive the worst, it is very unfair on this young actor that every time his video is manetioned the new copy will also include the other actors that have been arrested. Totally irrelevent and a rotten thing to do to the lad.

And just to clarify the point, if any criminal charges might be pending then this thread would have to be pulled for legal reasons, but obviously there is no crime committed.

I do appreciate what you are saying Dot but he is employed by ITV so should not do anything to bring their name down.
Everyone who works for a Company has a duty to do this or face some sort of telling off/disciplinary.

I used to work in legal & remember there being uproar when some of the Solicitors did a 'calendar girls' charity calendar as it wasn't the sort of thing Solicitors should be doing (in the Company's humble opinion)

I think he's been suspended. Stupid Boy. It would be better if they had someone at the studios to educate these young TV stars. Having said that someone had dredged the video up from last year and made it public knowledge.
Helen Flanagan (who is not on Corrie now) is another 'star' she is not particulary attractive imo but she spends her time showing off and flaunting herself.

There is no current Corrie regular on the Sex Offenders' Register. The two currently written out are innocent unless found to be guilty.
Fountain has not broken the law nor shamed Corrie. He wasn't performing on set or as Tommy.

Do any young people regard Corrie as cool? They've heard far worse from rappers they do look up to.

Big fuss about nothing. Don't forget the chap who played. Dirty Den in Stenders was a convicted murderer.
