This song originally comes from the musical-'Hair'.

It did the rounds in 1968 dealing with draft card burning and the war in Vietnam.

I thought it was called 'I got life'...

but it was some time ago...:-)

Just to clear up this thing about the title - quincyg and agnabeya are both correct! :-) The song actually has the rather cumbersome title of Ain't Got No - I Got Life.

A very happy, feelgood song. About time they re-released it, methinks.
