I got caned once, for trying on a trouser suit that I was buying from a pal in the Gym changing rooms, hardly something I was ever likely to repeat anyway.

The "star", Georgia, claimed to be the only one of her 4 sisters to reach the end of Year 11, so it's unlikely that shame and squirming are concepts understood in her home, espeically hearing her telling her mother on the phone about the initial fight she provoked with Jac, the bleep would have been on overtime had it been used.
Schools have little in the way of sanctions these days, even a raised voice is deemed abusive by some.
The Year 11 Prom is used to try and control behaviour in the last year, but I recall a doting Mam lying on the road in front of the coach to try and stop it moving. The staff were prayiing that the clutch would slip

Once again i didn't see anything shocking about this programme. Think im the only one who see's these kids as ordinary kids and not particular outrageous or anymore violent or thug life than they were when I was that age.
Yes that Georgia was a gobby mare towards her peers, but that's as shocked as I got about it, I saw her exactly as she was described by the head "A child wanting to be 25".
And as for them swearing, I did find trt's comment about it funny, especially his "I suppose they didn't give a sh1t" one- heh!

>"What on earth has gone wrong with education?"
The schools have to try to make the best of what comes there way. The major issue is their home life and their environment outside school.
The main girl featured (Georgia) came from a family where two of older her sisters had been asked to leave the school previously. When she was sent to the heads office for fighting and stamping on Jac's head she immediately got on the phone to her mum, effing and jeffing about how she was being treated. Her mum should not listen to such calls, Georgie also told us how her mum would 'kick off' with the school if there were any sanctions.
