i'm not going to watch it i don't think, i'll stick with vera for a bit and then watch the walking dead and then the end of vera on itv +1.
Trying t get into Peaky Blinders but struggling, but faced with Surprise Surprise and the X factor, it's bliss!
Last apisode of What Remains, anyone any ideas for the culprit, or not?
A few dodgy brummie accents in Peaky Blinders, zebo.
Watch...but don't check in.
(The Walking Dead for us)
The first episode really set the scene. Second episode on Thursday is supposed to be better with more about the town.
Do you mean Peaky Blinders, carolegif ?.
No, Bates Motel. Will watch Peaky Blinders on catchup.
it was ok. I watched it earlier. not something im going to go out of my way to keep up with but I'll watch it if im home
Ah right, carolegif.
To be honest, I thought it was quite good and I'm usually very critical when it comes to them messing around with classics like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. For instance, I couldn't stand the remake movie (in 1998) with Vince Vaughn in the role of Norman Bates and Anne Heche playing Marion Crane. I couldn't for the life of me understand the point of that remake... How can they improve on perfection?

However, it is interesting to see this new take on the young Norman Bates and the peculiar relationship he had with his mother (plus it's good to see British actor Freddie Highmore in the role of the teenage Norman). My only minor criticism is that they've brought the characters into a modern-day setting, where I think I would've preferred it to be set in the 1950s before such things as mobile phones (but I think this is just me showing my age!) But apart from that, it looks very promising. I've set Bates Motel to record on series link.

I missed it, what side was it on, and is it repeated?
Universal
Thankyou. X I will take a look now.
Sparkles, it's repeated at 11.00PM tonight (in about 7 minutes time).

well we watched it. It was interesting to see the relationship between the young Norman and his dominant mother. At the moment, I find it hard to see how he will become a psychopath. He just seems like a 'normal' young man.
Apparently, in the next episode, it turns out Norman has an older brother so it should be interesting...

You can check in any time you like, but . . . . . . !
Is this a new series of The Walking Dead - we have set to be automatically reminded when the new series starts but haven't been yet
Question Author
