Have to agree with anneasquith, Lady Mary with her sepulchral tones and head-to-toe black made me think of nobody so much as Morticia Addams. Maybe that poor baby will get some attention now that spring has come....

yes trigger that was strange, cos Thomas had no idea she was horrible to the girl, he was just causing trouble and lo and behold the nanny was a bitch!

And I just wonder if we're about to see a softer side to Thomas Barrow. After all he was just trying to be nice to baby Sybil in her pram when nanny had a go at him. Maybe the war's had more of an effect on him than we thought.

I think the new 'upstairs' lady is His Lordship's niece. Her parents are off to India so she's staying with them. Bit of a handful, by all accounts.
