I thought his acting was quite good, especially compared to all of the EastEnders cast.

I agree Crafty, they just shout a lot in Eastenders. I only ever watched it for a little while when that hunk from Spandau Ballet was in it!

"Larry Lamb" was also very good in Eastenders, haven't watched it much since.
