Especially The History Boys, Alan Bennett was brilliant in Richard Griffiths' part but where was Russell Tovey I wonder? That was the best Saturday night viewing for a long long time. (Perhaps you can tell that Mr Q and I aren't fans of celeb shows or talent shows)
Wonderful night on the Beeb...why can't we entertainment like this every Saturday. instead of all that childish tosh that they usually serve up ?
I have seen so many of the productions that were shown last night. I remember a wonderful "Little Night Music" with Dame Judy, and also The Madness of King George with Nigel Hawthorn.
I live a long way from the South Bank these days, so its been 5 years since I was last there, and I miss it terribly.

Oh Alan Bennett as Hector, a delight indeed Q.
Mikey, can you get to see any of the NT on tour?
I've seen One Man 2 Guvnors, Madness of George, and most recently People, at my local theatre. All tremendous productions.
Then of course there's the performances streamed to the cinemas. I haven't seen any of those yet but they are extremely popular - Lester and Kinnear in Othello was on just recently. They book up very quickly but where there's a will there's a way!
