Eastenders - Janine/alice Storyline

Am I being thick, but I don't understand why Janine is stitching Alice up?

Alice only stabbed Michael once & admits that so why is Janine trying to pin more on her?

Because otherwise she'd have to admit to killing him herself.

Because Janine stabbed him again while Alice was answering the door,which was the fatal blow.

Oh did she? I must have missed that, why did she do that? Was he not dead?
Wonder why Alice just didn't run to the door, the police were knocking long before she stabbed him.

Janine picked the knife up and wrapped a cloth round the handle so that only Alice's fingerprints would be on the knife. Then she stabbed Michael and killed him .
