That excellent drama/documentary "The Wipers Times" is being repeated at 1.50 A.M tomorrow morning (Tuesday) and finishes at 4.00 A.M on BBC2. If you missed it or, like me, want to see it again then set your recorders and watch it at your leisure.

Be advised that this repeat broadcast is designated as [SL], i.e. will include an on-screen sign language interpreter, which may or may not affect your enjoyment of the programme.

subtitles would be more useful; I had to give up as the dialogue was obscured by too much artillery fire.

It is also designated [AD, S] (Audio Description, Subtitles) which are both selectable, unlike SL which is obligatory.

I would be surprised if the original airing did not have optional subtitles; it is rare for modern prerecorded broadcasts to not have that option.

tonyav, my f-i-l once made his own telly, back in the early days (long before I knew him, of course), winding the wires around loo rolls by hand... but I am much more up to date than that.
