How could they even think of sacking him?
What a crazy decision, we love Alan Titchmarsh, he is the best gardening presenter of all.

Hmmm

An interesting 'conspiracy theory' from the Daily Mail. It might have more validity though if other newspapers weren't reporting that A.T. simply chose to call it a day:

Monty Don...well that'll be a bundle of fun.... :-(
Sorry about Alan - Chelsea just won't be the same. I think Toby Buckland would be better than Monty who is better than Joe Swift. It could have been worse - it could have been the dreadful Diamuid Gavin! And much though we like Sophie - she's as much a gardening presenter as Nicki Chapman. Let's have Rachel de Thame, at least she knows what she's talking about as well as being very nice.
Saying Chelsea wont be the same without Alan is like saying Gardeners World would never be the same without Geoff Hamilton.

Formats change, presenters change, but the shows carry on.

Chelsea will be fine.

Alan has been doing it for 30 years, he is now 64, and he has his finger in plenty of pies.
Sad to hear Alan Titchmarsh is quitting Chelsea Flower Show coverage. Now I'll be less sure of how to avoid him over that week in May.
