Not publicised but on BBC 2 tonight is a drama of how doctor who came to telly, and later on four is the story first transmitted. Not a lover of modern doctor who with Easter island head, but I was 10 back then so will be watching for nostalgic.
No it hasn't. I wasn't aware that they were 're showing the original till I checked my guide. The only publicity I have seen is for the anniversary show Saturday.
for all you whovians there is a nine minute filmlet that can be found on utube called 'night of the doctor' - it is a preview to the big one on saturday night, and explains the appearance of john hurt
I am not a fan either, but over the years I have been nagged to embroider question marks in red on shirt collars, knit question mark sweaters, hub has made question mark handle for a brolly, we have a case in loft of items I have made for him,
And don't ask me how many scarves I have knit.
2 Season 18 alone this years for his pals. (I did charge them).
I still maintain the only thing publicised ...or seen by me....Is the anniversary show which I shall not be watching. My concern was for people who wanted to see the original.
I was 13 when it started. Watched on and off over the years but for me David Tennant was the best doctor ever. Maybe he just had good story lines. The worst was Sylvester McCoy, only my opinion of course.
Can't believe its been around this long..... its genius and I'm a massive fan of every one of them!!! Tom Baker was "my" Doctor but each person who has honoured the role has brought something spectacular to it.... though McCoy and Colin Baker don't get watched very much... ;) Matt Smith is just quirky and that's puts folk off him he's great though
Just finished watching the very first episodes of Dr Who on BBC4, seemed dated but me and my daughter were hooked. I was 13 when William Hartnell was the first Dr and no this wasn't advertised, I only found out about this from reading this post!
