Hello,

According to http://www.imdb.com/find?q=houdini;s=all there's nothing in the pipeline, and that site is pretty on on stuff from pre-production onwards.

I hope I'm wrong though, because it sounds interesting!!

acw

pretty HOT on stuff I meant!!!

This is from www.bbc.co.uk

Pearce Shackled To Houdini
Memento star Guy Pearce has landed the role of legendary escapologist Harry Houdini in Death Defying Acts. The film, which is based on the events surrounding Houdini's visit to Britiain in the 20s, will be directed by Australian helmer Gillian Armstrong, and Rachel Weisz is in talks to play the Scottish woman that Harry falls for. Rumours that Pearce won the role because he's the only actor skinny enough to escape from a milk churn have yet to be confirmed.

imdb let me down!!! :'''''-(  Sorry for the wrong info magicbeatle.  *blush*
acw i would have also tried www.imdb.com as i usually go there for info on movies. It was just by chance that i caught this story on teletext & thought i'd give the BBC website a visit.

I hope they do him justice. Houdini was not just a great magician and showman but also (Before the days of tv) a fantastic self-publicist. At a time when most of europe was in poverty, Houdini brought hope and inspiration to millions with his escape challenges, proving that man can escape the confines of his destiny. He was also a great enemy of the spiritualist movement, which found it's niche preying on the poor greiving family's of those that lost loved ones in the first world war. And a pioneering aviator, being the first person to fly a plane in Australia. I hope it's good.
