Lost Itv 3
2 Answers
i appear to have lost lots of channels from my freeview box including itv 3 which is one i like. i know that itv3hd is now exclusive to sky but regular itv3 is completely missing. i have done a full retune of the box and find that out of the 100 or so that are available in my area i only have 31. what on earth is going on here, and what can i do about it.

I have the full set of Freeview channels but I'm in line-of sight of the Crystal Palace transmitter. If you are a long way from the transmitter, you may be getting poor reception in the wet overcast weather - especially if the transmitter is broadcasting on low power.
Check that your aerial is pointing at the transmitter. If you're not sure, you can get a bearing using Google Earth. If you're out of line, you'll get poor quality on some channels and that might just be enough to stop your box recognising them. Then wait for a bright clear day (Sunday looks promising) and try retuning again.

itv 3 is not the only channel missing. evidently it is something to do with the fact that the signal is being received via a sky box (for reasons which cant be changed). never thought to do this, but i have checked the other two tv's in the house and can get itv 3 on both of those. just cant record anything as they are not connected to any kind of recorder. i need the digital box connected to the sky box so that i can copy from the sky to the digibox. seemed scuppered then
