Did anyone else watch this on Channel 4 last night.  I noticed there was not a single entry from Scotland, yet there was 2 Welsh, 1 Irish and many English ones.  Was this jusy fluke that Scotland didnt fair well, or badly, or were they missed out of the poll.  Does any one know as i didnt catch the start of it so dont really know if it was mentioned.

Thanks everyone

The chart positions were based on a calculation that took into account quality of schools, crime-levels, social-life, and employment (plus some more??) in each area. Therefore the fact Scotland didn't feature was just a result of its places not scoring highly enough in the categories that Phil and Kirsty deemed to signify a quality place to live.

The problem is that people put different values on different things - there is no way I'd live in the City of Westminster no matter how many shoe shops there are - so I think that the list should be taken as a bit of fun more than anything. Although it was right about Nottingham ;-).

I didn't see this but I wish I had because my home town, Middlesbrough was apparently the 5th worse place to live!

You are right, I was gonna post this last night there wasnt any in Scotland cause I was watching to see if there was
Or could it be that the top ten best were ALL in Scotland and so they decided to take the country out of the comp.!
