Channel 4 test cricket indents

A few questions that have been bothering me about the channel 4 indents. They have those 2 lads sitting on a bench. The part where the 2 girls are beaten to the last cream doughnut (by the middle aged cricketer), one of the lads says 'he has declared'. I still dont get it. Is there a punch line there?.

Also why are they taking the mickey off the portuguese.

The declared gag is because they are betting on which girl will reach the chocolate eclair first... d'eclaired..geddit. boom boom.
As for the Portugese thing, those are Nando's own sponsors films.

These two lads are Big Cook, Little Cook off Cbeebies. I haven�t spoken out about this for the first 2 tests because I was hallucinating but now I know other people are seeing it I want to know � what�s that all about? Are they a double act that do BCLC on the side?
