I really fancy watching it, Anne, but it clashes with the Tommy Cooper biopic on ITV. Also, it's a 3-part series (on Tues & Wed) and will miss part 2 as will be out. Pleas let us know if it's good and worth watching on iplayer.

They are all mumbling in a pseudo West Country accent! Can't understand a word!

I live in the West Country...and I find it incomprehensible also. I have the volume all the way up...doesn't help. Think I'll read the book instead

Had to leave my wife & daughter watching this as they would not let me rewind for the 3rd time to try to understand what the guy at the Inn was saying! I'm developing a loathing for mumbling actors. Come back the proper actors, trained in repertory theatres!

I couldn't understand a word, especially from the man, so I've switched off as well. Annoying as I wanted to see it.

Thought it looked promising, turned off after about fifteen minutes - mumbling and nothing of any interest happening, and hard to follow who was who.

I don't think its the acting....more likely how the sound is recorded. The background music is louder than the dialogue.

Agree about the sound, very hard to understand - I thought it was my hearing going. Also its very dark in indoor filming, my TV is on the wall and I sit lower than the screen so had to stand up to see the picture as it was too dark.
But roll on tomorrow!!

I nearly switched off too Lankeela, but glad I stuck with it, it got better as it went on .............. so fed up with the sound though ........

well, as I said above, my OH watched it with subtitles on and had no trouble, so the answer is presumably Yes. (I didn't watch.)
