He has to win ...
I thought the group who went through were fantastic as well though. both worthy winners
It look very simple to me, two men waved a sheet about whilst two other men swapped places.

Roy, I kept winding it back .... it was impossible to see how it was done. Amazing. And those boy singers were great as well. Just get rid of that awful Christian Spridon, what a joke. Wanted on Romania apparently. And the puppet. No, I don't mean Simon. Daisy May.
How was it done? Classic use of "misdirection".
Has anyone got a link please to his performance last night?
Pity impressionist didn't get through as he was such a natural entertainer. He was so relaxed on stage and so funny.Whilst the boy group was excellent I don't like the name Collabro. Think they should change that.
I agree with royfromaus, the cameraman started at the front then moved slowly to the rear. when the blokes went to move the sheet, they swopped!

Easy peasey
If it was that easy I'm sure Simon et al would have spotted it.

I rewound it a few times, but still couldn't quite work out how it was done.

I've just put £20 on Collabro to win.

Not my cup of tea at all, but their performance was perfect for the show.
Why do you think the steps are there?

Not for him to walk up surely?

As the 2 blokes shake the sheet he rolls down the steps designed to stop the audience from seeing through the platform. He was great in his original audition but this was actually pathetic.
sp1814; what price did you get and have you seen ALL of the acts?
He's straight off the platform and behind the scenery before they move it forward. Any shape and movement under the sheet is faked.

The camera operator circles behind the scenery and the illusionist is ready to come out the other side.

The mechanical device moving the sheet was so crude it had me laughing, Zeuhl.

I got rubbish odds (5/4). Won't be retiring on my winnings any time soon.

Yes - I've seen all the acts (ie. I've seen the all the audition shows). The only other acts who I think might have a chance are Lucy Kay (very prettty opera singer):

And Paddy Jones (tango dancing granny):

However, I've heard she might not make the semis because she had a fall whilst rehearsing.

I noticed that too, divebuddy, and thought it hadn't been there at the beginning.
I hope James Smith wins it, that performance was fantastic.
