I fear for the little boy...
Question Author
so do i, i was asked by someone on here what i thought the outcome might be in the last episode, i said that somehow the boy is going to be taken by Tommy, its riveting and wholly believable, and the performance by Sarah Lancashire superb, as are the rest of the cast.
I haven't read any previews, don't want to spoil it. Can't wait!
Question Author
saw a snippet on the trailer, that was all, no spoilers.
I don't think it will end '' happy ever after ''
Question Author
neither do i, its possible that there are more twists, or that she is writing another series, however Tommy has a bad injury, so not sure how he will survive.

i sincerely hope she writes another vehicle for Sarah Lancashire, i would love to see her in the same role. Just brilliant.
Really enjoyed it . Excellent acting from the cast .Hope they make another .there is too much games and talent rubbish shows . Don't mind the odd one like The Chase . There used to be a good family film on a Sunday afternoon now all we get is a repeat of Saturdays rubbish . End of rant lol
I don't think the boy is Tommy's son....
...and will Ann, the kidnapped girl, be pregnant?
I said the same robinia
I did read over the weekend (and can't remember exactly where) that she is writing a second series.
Question Author
what did you think, a wonderful programme, ending..

i wonder if they are going to make some more, as series 1 is advertised as out on dvd, if so hurrah..
Fantastic, wonderful, but I've got a niggle about the credibility of the story. Would Catherine have really allowed her grandson to start coming home from school, on his own, for the first time, knowing that Tommy Lee Royce was out there? And thought by the police to be in the locality and she knew this, also knowing that Tommy was desperate to get to know his son.
The minute she agreed to his request to come home on his own you KNEW what was going to happen and I thought that was not what someone in her position would have done.
Anyone agree?
Question Author
perhaps, but she had to give him some leeway, and auntie had said that he shouldn't stop, always use the bicycle, besides which it wouldn't have created the ending we were hoping for, i seriously thought she was going to kill Tommy, what a star she is.
Question Author
i hope she writes more, this was the best thing for years, it beat that dire overblown Broadchurch into a cocked hat.
Still would have waited until Tommy was out of circulation. But, a minor niggle in an incredibly brilliant series. AND unbelievably Tommy isn't dead is he? Yes, I believe there is going to be a second series. Sally Wainwright is going to be very busy between this and LTiH.
I felt so sorry for her sister when Catherine said she ought to think about moving out, she was the one who held it all together and didn't seem to have much of a life of her own. Excellent series.
Question Author
but that was the anger, hurt, trauma of the loss of her daughter and the brutal beating she had taken at the hands of that monster.
excellent series, good she is writing more, lets hope it another starring Sarah Lancashire, i think she should get a bafta or whatever in next years awards ceremony and Sally Wainwright for delivering a corking show, script.
