However, despite the rumour, and Dee's obvious enthusiasm for the programme her agent today denied a deal had been made........
She was said to have accepted a six-figure deal to star in the Channel 5 reality series, but her spokesman told MailOnline that was completely false.
So a complete non story.

Dodger- "As for being called a "celebrity", the mind boggles."
I disagree, this woman is the perfect definition of a 'celebrity' - she is famous for doing nothing of any value whatever, her saturation media coverage will be as brief as it is extensive, and she will return to the obscurity where she belongs.
Yep, tips all the 'celebrity' boxes in my world.

Dodger666 - "We will have to agree to disagree, Andy.
There is no way I would label this woman as a "Celebrity". I would also say she is more infamous for what she hasn't done rather than famous. A true celebrity will be a celebrity for ever."
Fair enough, although I think use of the terms 'celebrity' and 'star' are sufficient to emphise the gap between the two states of fame.
A 'celebrity' is famous for doing nothing, and will have a brief but seriously high-profile career before burning out because lack of anything concrete - music, acting, something, anything - means that people tire very quickly of one individual, who is instantly replaced by another.
A 'star' is someone whose fame is based on a body of work, music, film, television, books, or similar, and they have a lasting career based first and foremost on their inherent talent.
So, on that basis - 'White Dee' is a celebrity, Paul McCartney is a star.

jennyjoan - "Was Chanelle Houghton - a non-celebrity who became a celebrity. Well, she appeared in Daily Mail often enough."
Chantelle Houghton demonstrated the surreal peak of celebrity status - when she entered the Big Brother house, she was working as a Paris Hilton lookalike, when she left, someone had a job as a Chantelle Houghton lookalike!
Now that is what celebrity is all about!
