nope youre on your own !

it was crap footage if thats any help to you !

The fact the actors turned up for the premier would suggest NO.
As far as I remember it, it was some film students who made this film, and the made a huge fuss before hand with banners and posters saying "have you seen these three people! "missing" etc. The reason for this of course was to make people believe it was real. But as said above, the actors came to the premiere and made promotion interviews, which would have been impossible if the footage was real. Quite clever actually :)
You ARE on your own - but it was very clever.

I know it isn't real but I was asking if, when people first saw it, they thought it might be real...I can't say I watch film premiers and I watched it without knowing anything about it...
god no it was so crap the only bit that freaked me out a lil was the bit at the end in the house when they had to stand in the corner. if thats reli footage well it was utter crap they were actors ome on they cant act for sh** anyway come on

I remember when my boyfriend saw it the first time, he asked about something and I looked around a bit, and ended up on IMDB's boards to see if what people had to say. And while looking I discovered that - yes there actually is people who thought it was real and even some who were disappointed that it wasn't real. I think that is quite disgusting!

For my part - No I've never thought it was real, I didn't see it to the premiere but I saw it in the theatre - I was freaked about the last part though!!
