A very good question , haven't seen one for a while.

Dewhurst butchers - sold to Lloyd Maunder 2005, subsequently put into administration 2006

Maybe they resurfaced?
Dewhurst's WAS the largest butchery chain but closed years ago-as others have noted. Was the question IS or WAS ?
Maybe it was a repeat of the 2004 "The Chase" progrqamme ;-)
Looks like Brand Cellar went bust as well http://www.insidermedia.com/insider/yorkshire/98839-/
I wouldn't get too cut up about it.
I grew up in the Midlands and they were everywhere.
That question should have got the chop.
Dewhurst's were a big chain about 25 years ago but were killed when they were exposed as huge tax evaders. The were run by the Vestry family, and lived in mansions, but paid tuppence in tax. Their brand crashed after that.

Unless some wholesale arm survived, the question is cleatly wrong.

// In 1980, a Sunday Times investigation revealed that in 1978, the Dewhurst chain paid £10 tax on a profit of more than £2.3m. By this time, Edmund's grandson, also Edmund, and his cousin, Lord Samuel, were at the helm. In an infamous remark the Tory grandee Lord Thorneycroft remarked: "Good luck to them." //

I thought it was The Taliban or Al Quaeda !
In Scotland, we had the Alex Munro chain. Don't know if that still exists. The likes of Tesco have closed most of the butchers and fishmongers shops.
