I like a good cartoon movie at Christmas.

What is Frozen like? Does hit have a sufficiently well written script to entertain adults as well as children and is it a girly film?

Oh and if it isn't out on DVD yet any other recommendations?

Frozen is fabulous (I watched it on the way to America so I would know who the characters were AND on the way back - because I enjoyed it) and it's out on DVD (look out for offers on Disney DVDs).
pretty girly. Ok but some massive plot holes :) It's all about the songs really
Not seen it Eccles but Rio is an excellent cartoon, I think you'll like it.
I haven't seen it, but I know it's been out for a while. My local Sainsbury's has now got the sing-a-long version in stock, so you could have either version. The Vodafone "Power to the festive" advert uses the main song in it

Hmmm, the mention of songs has put me off, I'm not a huge fan of musicals and I'm not sure about them in a cartoon.....I suppose it is a bit of a Disney signature though.

I'll look into Rio, don't recognise that title at all.

Thanks.
Frozen is a lovely movie, lovely songs. Unusually it is about the love between 2 sisters, I think that is why all the little girls love it, they can relate to sibling love
Ice age 3 was good

It is sounding more and more unlikely that Frozen would be Mr Cake's cup of tea. We've enjoyed the Ice Age films in the past so will look at that and Rio.
How about ice age 4 or the ugly duckling, that was a great xmas movie for the kids
Rio has a female lead I'm sure you'll relate to Eccles ! ;0)

Mazie you have me intrigues and slightly........nervous ;-)
you'll see what I mean when you watch it x
Wall-E, old but great

works for kids and adults
I know it's an oldie, but have you thought about the Jungle Book?as I said it's an oldie but it's still a class act.
Frozen is on Sky TV at Xmas.
My granddaughters love Frozen, but I have never seen it all as they fast forward the bits they don't like! Let It Go!
They played one of the songs from 'Frozen' on the Radio 2's Janice Long show last night, resulting in lots of people getting in touch with the show to complain! (I actually quite liked it!)

As that's the first of 552 pages, you should find plenty to read ;-)
The songs get on your pip a bit but it's a good film. I enjoyed it.
I highly recommend Maleficent. Not cartoon but a fairy tale nonetheless.
Rio is excellent, better than Frozen, not too much singing!
Obvious choice: Arthur Christmas (brilliant animation, on network TV for the first time over Christmas).
