Whilst I've been on holiday I have noticed that on the daytime editions the producer seems to drag out the chunkier female presenters. On the evening news slot the more delectable ones are in front of the camera.

Does this happen in other areas of the UK, or just in the Look North region? :)

What I have noticed over the holiday period is the fact that there has been only one newscaster instead of the usual two.

It works perfectly all right so why does it need two persons to report the news?

This is a very sexist thread - what about the fat/skinny/ugly blokes who present the news?

...and I've never looked at the weather girls' eyeballs - I'm more concerned about the ghastly stretchy garments they tip up wearing....

And why does the beeb have an obsession with pregnant women presenting the weather/news.. You'll get me going in a minute. tonight on holby there was a (ethnic) lady in a wheelchair doing the conga.
