Tipping Point Contestants

Do the contestants who do not get to the final get to keep the money that they have accrued? You see their cash total go down to zero when they're eliminated but surely if they were not going to get the money they should call them points then when a contestant goes into the final stage they can say those points turn into pounds and there's no confusion.

No pinstripe I remember reading that they do not keep the money.

Only the finalist gets to keep their winnings, the jackpot or the lower sum accrued.

They do, however, keep any mystery prizes that they have won during the programme even if they are eliminated.
