I'm going to appear on a tv quiz show in Feb/March (just recorded it) and would like to record it for posterity. I'll record on my Tivo box but I'd also like to save it on YouTube so that members of the family overseas can watch it. Mother than sitting recording it with my iPad, is there another way to do this?
When I was on 'Pointless', I recorded it on to my HDD recorder (which has a built in DVD and VCR player), copies it from HDD to DVD, copied the DVD onto my PC and uploaded it from there. I think the BBC has blocked the 'full length' on youtube (as Geezer describes). The way round this is to upload it in 2 halves.
Recording it to your pc/laptop/ipad would be no bad thing. You could then store it in the cloud (I use google drive and dropbox but there are plenty of others), set that file to 'share' and send a link to all your family and friends.
It's a show called Two Tribes, there was a short series last summer and a second series of 60 shows is currently being filmed - I did mine last Thursday.ni don't necessarily want to record the whole thing, just my short piece. I could ask for a DVD copy from Endemol but I'm not optimistic about that option.
