Oldboy

I watched Oldboy with my boyfriend the other night and we such opposite reactions to it that I'm wondering what other people thought of it.  We both thought it was really good but he found it to be an excellent vengence tale and i found it really sad. I was crying for about the last 15 minutes of the film and he laghed at me.

 

Has anyone else seen it and what did they think?

it was very sad, i expected it to be some kind of korean gangster film, but was pleasantly surprised to find out it wasn't
