Yes. Brilliant.
Disappointing special effects. Where was the flood and them soaking merrily off to Mt.Ararat ?
And there was no sign of the animals, two by two, or any other way!
Sailing, not soaking.
I thought the animals were in silhouette in the distance.
I don't think that the BBC went overboard on the budget for this!
^^^ 'overboard' was that a deliberate pun islasmum? :-))
When is it on?
It was on tonight Georgiesmum. Worth watching? I don't think so. I was waiting for the animals to arrive as they are an important part of the story. On the whole, I found it disappointing. x

Oh no Ive missed it
Looking forward to seeing Joanna Whaley a very good and underused actress imho
Thank the Lord for iplayer
where did he get the wood from? Total *** if you ask me. Surprised Thelfral too the part.
Thought it was a strange 'schedule filler'. Noticed it was made in 2014 so has been on the shelf for a while. Well acted but missing something. Not sure what to make of it really. Maybe we all think we know the story too well? For me the 'two by two' would have been tootwee given the modernity of the adaptation.
We enjoyed it. Animals were seen against skyline, a tv production obviously couldn't afford real ones like a cinema film could. Would have liked to have seen end of flood though .
no it was terrible
I thoroughly enjoyed it. I particularly liked the fact that most of the actors spoke with a Manchester/northern accent, and the dialogue and family dynamics were modern, no dreary biblical speech.
I once saw a modern production of Macbeth, set in the future, it reminded me of that.
johnny37; LOL big time. God - whoever he is - sends an angel - lots of them about - to earth to warn a random farmer of an imminent flood which will devastate the planet and kill everything on it save for those on the Ark . And you wonder where he got the wood. Again, LOL.
No wonder it took the bloke a century to build the bleeping thing cos he would have had to travel back and forth many times to B & Q to get the wood cos he lived in a desert......what on earth was god thinking to get a bloke of 600 yrs old to do such a thing?
