Any reccommends (or otherwise) on which freeview/digibox I should purchase in the lower price range.  Seen a lot of bad reviews on Goodmans and even Philips.

Many thanks.

We got a Goodmans GDB3 last Christmas. Not had any problems with it so far...................................................... (crosses fingers and toes)
I got the picture most of them work the same, but you should check in your local electrical store to see what kind of reception you should get for your house. It's generally like channel 5, if you can get channel 5 you can usually get freeview without any adjustment to your aerial, however when we got a freeview box we found we couldn't pick up any channels except the bbc ones and not without interference. Incidentally on terrestrial tv channel 4 is very blurry and a lot worse than channel 5.

I've been looking at getting a freeview box to, and I fond this one 'Humax PVR8000T80', it's a freeview box with 80GB hard drive. So it has the same functionality as sky +, as in, it allows you to record programs to watch them later and even allows you to pause and replay stuff. you can pick it up for around 125 have a look here

How about a Panasonic DMRES20D or Sony RDGGXD500 both of these are new on the market and are recordable DVD's with FREEVIEW built in, the Panasonic I have been looking at is good value for money and one shop is selling it with region free. Look on Kelkoo.co.uk and put name and model No. in.
