How can I get a copy of a BBC programme aired (in 1994!) that hasn't been released on video/DVD?

I was in a programme and never got to see it!

It might help if you specified what the programme was.
If you were in a programme (and ONLY if you were in it), send an email to contributor.access at bbc.co.uk. There will be a nominal charge and you'll have to sign a form saying you won't sell or otherwise distribute the tape.

thank you jenstar - funny I asked my agent probably the day you posted this and he told me about contributor access.

for anyone else curious - at least about something done by the beeb - I just googled and got this from the beeb's own website....

Q. I was actually in a show years ago. Can I get a copy?
A. If you have made a significant contribution to a BBC programme (for example you were a performer or a member of the production team) you can request a contributor's copy of the show if it is held in the archives. Please include full details of the programme and how you were involved. You will be required to sign a contract limiting future re-use of the tape and there will be a fee for researching and making a copy. Please contact contributor access at:

So I'm just waiting to find out now how much this is going to cost me!

Re Annika - I remember that as I had a little thing for Jesse Birdsall back then....  but I don't know anything else about it sorry :o(

Re programme - it was called, "Two Golden Balls", starring Kim Cattrall, Claire Skinner and Christopher Ellison (and others).  It wasn't ever realised on video/DVD, which is why I didn't mention it.
