What they mean of course is "sorry we got caught".

Still the public gets what the public wants and £250,000 isn't a bad result for a scam.
Wouldn't have been a problem if viewers had been told about the switch on the night.Would it have detracted from the act?
since the act won and not the dog, does it matter ?

It a says the viewers were told but I did'nt pick that up. It would have been fine if it was made clear that the act used several dogs.
Would it have been fairer if the magician had won?
Magicians rely on deception and fakery
Yes EDDIES1, we were all talking about this on here yesterday. People have been complaining about the magician too, according to the website
yesterday.

Dog act should be disqualified now and second place take the title and the cash. Bit unfair that the dig won when it wasn't the dog's trick. A bit like one of the singers miming to someone else's voice.
Sorry 'dog'
There were two dogs in the semi-final, though. I can't see the problem.
Netty 7 It was not the dog's act, it was Jules O'Dwyer's.
I am sorry if I am going to offend anyone here but to me the intention was to deceive because at the end on stage there were only two dogs,Matisse and Skippy, fooling into thinking only two dogs were involved. The owner's excuse being too many cables behind the scenes and not enough time to get all three dogs assembled!
There have been lots of complaints about the magician too.It was so obvious how he did his so called lemon trick, even a 10 year old could have done it. Im surprised anyone was fooled by it.
I thought BGT was about finding entertaining acts. How they get from A to B maybe is not that important. That we laugh, applaud, enjoy is the desired outcome.
And let's face it...a "magic" act is all about deception, illusion and fooling the eye.
The magician act is of course 'deception' unless you believe in magic ;-), but its not the same as deceiving a voting audience as to the integrity of the Act. Had the women come back on stage with all three dogs then that would have been honest -as was, it was devious and as for the three legged dog - well that was just put in there for sympathy it ran away and didn't even come back when called. They should redo the final with the last four and have a re vote -the Choir should have won haNds down it was a disgrace!!
I'm not that bothered one way or another. This is all hindsight, the public voted and that's what determines who wins. Is it really worth an investigation,re-vote...whatever?
We all ready new she had two dogs... the other dog (Chase) appeared in the semi final with Matisse.. clever and cute... are the dogs.. but in our opinion they did not deserve to win... We think, on the night, the choir should have won.. but hey ho.. roll on next years series!!! hahaha Mrs C x

Is it just me who noticed when watching the show that the dog walking the tightrope was clearly not Matisse?! Because I noticed at the time I don't feel tricked; there was no way Matisse would have been able to go in through the door and onto the tightrope as quickly as he did. The other dog was clearly a different colour too! Frustrated that I get caught up in the BGT bug every year; next year I will find myself a life!
georgiesmum how did he do the lemon trick?
