Has Trevor Mcdonald Sold Out?
33 Answers
I was shocked to see him in this advert for Vision Express earlier tonight.
At first it seems like a trailer for a TV programme.

Baths....I can't blame him for doing ads, although I agree that the style/ content was inappropriat e for selling specs.

It is a ludicrously overblown affair - rather like TM himself - I always think if a listed building could talk, this is what it would sound like.
I'm not sure he has 'sold out' - but the implied notion that his sight is more valuable because of the things he has seen is derisory.
I go to Specsavers because Vision Express are like their ads - overblown and overpriced.

I frequently stayed at the Midland Hotel on Police business. There was a disco in the evening in the basement bar. I remember being approached by a lady who looked like my mother who asked if I would like a b... job back in my room .She said I would have to wear a rubber though. My wife and I still laugh about this. I told her that would be like eating a ham sandwich with the cling film wrapping on. She replied, "Yes chuck but it is me who is eating the sandwich". Hope you're son doesn't come across these wanton Jezibels in his career . On second thoughts I hope he does. It is times like that which helps you get over the stress and have a laugh afterwards. :-)

I also was an honoury guest at that club.I saw Mc Donut a few times there drunk. He wasn't particularly obnoxious to me but I have come across many sots in my lifetime. He was obnoxious to others, believe me, but as a fellow guest I felt it was not my place to object. If he had been obnoxious to me then I would have had a polite word in his ear.

Well, I'm a bit shocked + surprised at some of these posts! I always regarded Trevor as a National Treasure, although Douglas thinks he definitely isn't!
@Retro...lol! I'm sure there's plenty going on in my son's job that he doesn't tell me about ;) But the lovely Trevor drunk?? Wow, that does surprise me!
Thanks for all your input
