They are bound to give it maximum exposure and with so many games taking place simultaneously, why not use both channels. As i asked earlier, what riveting programmes is this two week tournament replacing? As a rule, i do not switch my tv on until about 6pm, but if there's live sport to be watched........................... Makes me feel i'm sort of getting a bit of value for my licence fee:-)
Wimbledon has some of the highest viewing figures of any event anywhere in the world and the BBC has the rights to it. They are going to make the most of it. I agree it is boring but that is a minority view. I know several people who take 2 weeks off work just so they can watch uninterrupted tennis on TV.
anotheoldgit; as mamy says, gollob did not pose a question, merely made a statement - and possibly a request:-) And, to be totally honest, i have yet to see the 'horsey Claire Balding', despite having watched every day, so far. Perhaps that's because i am not interested in the build up - nor the post mortems - and only take notice when the actual match is being played.
